Camelot Restaurant & Inn also allows pets and features an excellent restaurant on the premises. Best Western Plus Clarks Summit Scranton is unable to accommodate pets, but guests can enjoy complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a heated indoor pool, a free full hot breakfast, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an outdoor fireplace. Or go camping at Lackawanna State Park, which provides electric hookups, pet-friendly campsites, and a shower house with hot water and flush toilets.

Things to Do in Abington Heights

The annual Clarks Summit Festival of Ice offers a dazzling spectacle of ice sculptures, food, music, and family-friendly activities. Hillside Park is known for its dog park, dog-friendly trails, as well as its Summer Concert Series. It’s also a great place to go fishing, paddle boating, or ice skating. Once the weather warms, play pickleball at South Abington Recreation Park or picnic at Lackawanna State Park. Families can go mini-golfing or go-karting at Lahey Family Fun Park or enjoy autumn festivities at Roba Family Farms. Destination Freedom: The Underground Railroad Walking Tour focuses on the local Underground Railroad and Civil War era in Lackawanna County and is an interactive program that explores the lives of enslaved settlers and abolitionists, examining the complex history of Waverly.

For Sunday brunch or other American cuisine, try the local favorite, State Street Grill. You can even bring your dog to their patio!
