CARBONDALIEN FESTIVAL

Stay Tuned for 2026

Check back soon—details for the 2026 event will be announced right here!

November 8, 2025
Downtown Carbondale, PA

Blast off to the Carbondalien Festival, where the City of Carbondale transforms into an interstellar celebration! Pay homage to encounters of the unknown and mysteries of all kinds at this autumn event.

In 1974, this charming coal town was buzzing with authorities, UFO experts, and investigators in a legendary UFO incident that became known as the Carbondale UFO Crash. While several explanations have been offered – and even reported in the local newspaper as a Railroad lantern that fell off a train – the mystery of the sighting has remained part of the city's culture and history. Today, the annual Carbondalien Festival features vendors, music, food, and family-friendly activities that promise to be out of this world.
