Recognized by Dance Magazine as the only Nutcracker production in the United States presented entirely free of charge, the Ballet Theatre of Scranton’s beloved performance is both a local treasure and a national standout. It's honored with the Hometown Star SAGE Award from the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and a first-place Pocono Northeast Award. With 100+ dancers, professional sets and costumes, and captivating effects, it has entertained over 350,000 people during its history, including educational performances to over 12,000 school students.
