The holidays in Scranton wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Nay Aug Park’s Holiday Light Spectacular. Since 2004, this annual tradition has transformed the park into a glowing wonderland of holiday cheer, and it is just a short distance east of Downtown Scranton. Whether you choose to drive through Nay Aug Holiday Lights or take in the sights on a horse-drawn carriage ride, you’ll find plenty of festive spirit waiting for you.

  • The Holiday Light Spectacular runs nightly throughout the holiday season.
  • Admission is free and open to the public, and donations are greatly appreciated to help keep this tradition glowing for years to come.
  • Parking is also free and conveniently located inside the park at various spots, as well as near the concession stand.

How to Enter

The Holiday Light Spectacular begins at the park entrance near the corner of Mulberry Street and Arthur Avenue, close to the Everhart Museum. There’s no gate or ticket booth—just drive in and enjoy the lights.

To keep traffic flowing and avoid traffic blocking emergency entrances to Geisinger Community Medical Center, please do not use Mulberry Street near the hospital when entering the park. Instead, use Arthur Avenue to access the Mulberry Street park entrance for the Holiday Light Spectacular.

Can I drive through the lights?

Yes! The Holiday Light Spectacular is designed as a drive-through experience along an eight-tenths-of-a-mile route through Nay Aug Park. 

Can I walk through the lights?

Yes, walking is permitted, but it’s not encouraged due to heavy traffic and safety concerns. The Holiday Light Spectacular is designed as a drive-through experience, so please use caution if you choose to walk. 

Is the event free?

Absolutely—there’s no cost to enjoy the lights, and donations are greatly appreciated to support future displays and park improvements.

Are pets allowed?

Yes! Pets are welcome to ride along in your car. If you step out for photo ops, pets must be leashed. Leashed pets are welcome if you choose to walk. 

Are carriage rides available every night?

No, horse-drawn carriage rides are offered on select nights by Brookvalley Farm. They are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved in advance.

When can we see Santa?

Santa visits are scheduled on select weekends, adding extra holiday magic for families.
