The Santa Trolley Ride Experience
Back to Top of ListStep aboard a historic electric trolley for a magical holiday adventure! Your 45-minute journey follows the former Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley (Laurel Line) Railroad, offering a one-of-a-kind ride through Scranton’s history. Along the way, the trolley rolls beside Roaring Brook, passes the historic Scranton Iron Furnaces, and ventures through the impressive Crown Avenue Tunnel — at 4,747 feet, one of the longest interurban tunnels ever built. The ride continues on to Montage Mountain near PNC Field before returning to the station.
Throughout the trip, families can sing along to classic Christmas carols and enjoy a special visit with Santa Claus, who spreads holiday cheer to every child on board.
After your ride, be sure to explore the Electric City Trolley Museum, beautifully decorated for the holiday season and filled with exhibits that showcase the history of America’s first electric-powered streetcar system. It’s the perfect way to extend your holiday experience!
