The Lackawanna County Heritage Fair celebrates the history and cultures of our collective community. Enjoy delicious food, learn our history, experience our heritage, and enjoy amusement rides, games, live music, entertainment, and fireworks! Held at Montage Mountain Resorts, the admission fee gets you access to Montage's incredible waterpark and all the amusement rides you can handle inside the fairgrounds, plus fireworks!
Different from an agricultural fair, the Lackawanna County version centers its focus on our region’s heritage by using interactive displays, local artisans, vendors, and educational demonstrations to create an extraordinary experience. Four days of fun, food, learning, and diverse musical entertainment are meant to showcase our community and everything that makes it a great place to visit and an even better place to live.
Heritage & History
Lackawanna may be Pennsylvania’s youngest county, but it has a long and storied history. Initially known for its iron and steel furnaces, its rich coal reserves helped fuel the American Industrial Revolution and brought immigrants from England, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Russia.
These diverse cultures helped shape our heritage. You can see their continuing influence throughout the fair in our food, crafters, and performances. With their help, Lackawanna County became a bustling manufacturing hub.
Fair Food Scene
At the Lackawanna County Heritage Fair, our diverse heritage is clear in the variety of food options, with vendors serving up everything from your favorite fair foods to local delicacies. You’ll want to come hungry!

Rides & Waterpark
The price of admission includes unlimited access to the Montage Mountain Waterpark — an exceptional deal and a perfect way to beat the summer heat. Be sure to bring a bathing suit so you can enjoy the water slides, as well as a lazy river and wave pool.
Take a break from the pool and check out all your favorite fun fair rides and carnival games. Spin and twirl to your heart’s content, check out the fair from above on the Ferris Wheel, or watch the little ones have a blast with plenty of kid-friendly options.
