You can purchase tickets for the Lackawanna County Heritage Fair online or at the entrance. The admission fee covers all amusement rides and grants full access to the waterpark! Children aged 3 and under are free, and 2024 Waterpark Season Members can enter for free each day with their Season Pass.

The fair excitement builds throughout the day and explodes with fireworks lighting up the Montage Mountain sky on Friday and Saturday nights.

Heritage & History

Lackawanna may be Pennsylvania’s youngest county, but it has a long and storied history. Initially known for its iron and steel furnaces, its rich coal reserves helped fuel the American Industrial Revolution and brought immigrants from England, Wales, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Russia. 

These diverse cultures helped shape our heritage. You can see their continuing influence throughout the fair in our food, crafters, and performances. With their help, Lackawanna County became a bustling manufacturing hub.

Fair Food Scene

At the Lackawanna County Heritage Fair, our diverse heritage is clear in the variety of food options, with vendors serving up everything from your favorite fair foods to local delicacies. You’ll want to come hungry!

Where else can you find perogies, kielbasa, and apple dumplings, as well as pizza, BBQ, hot wings, and ice cream? Stop by the Midway to experience the best of nearby restaurants and community food trucks with an emphasis on local flavors.

Rides & Waterpark

The $15 fair admission includes unlimited access to the Montage Mountain Waterpark — an exceptional deal and a perfect way to beat the summer heat. Be sure to bring a bathing suit so you can enjoy the water slides as well as a lazy river and wave pool. 

Take a break from the pool and check out all your favorite fun fair rides and carnival games. Spin and twirl to your heart’s content, check out the fair from above on the Ferris Wheel, or watch the littles have a blast with plenty of kid-friendly options. Be sure to stick around for the fireworks on Friday and Saturday nights.

Live Music & Entertainment

Don’t forget to check out the entertainment schedule. The stage will be packed with talented local performers, featuring musical styles from around the world, once again reflecting our diverse community. The fair proudly showcases local fan-favorite bands and community groups that share their unique heritage.
