overview
Festival of Trees is an annual display of Christmas trees decorated by community organizations, businesses, schools, and individuals to raise funds for Toys for Tots and brighten up the holidays! Live Christmas trees will be displayed on Courthouse Square in Scranton and 25 trees will be available to decorate on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year's theme, "Winter Myths & Stories From Around the Globe" corresponds with Scranton Fringe's performance of excerpts from "A Christmas Carol," part of the Winter Market which runs until December 3rd.
The exhibit opens Friday, December 1st at 5:00 PM as part of the Lackawanna County Winter Market. Trees must be set up by 3:00 PM on Friday. The Festival of Trees will close on January 12th. There is a $25 cost to sponsor a tree. The funds to sponsor a tree will be matched by Lackawanna County Arts and Culture and donated to Toys for Tots.
