Every April, excitement builds as fans return to PNC Field in Moosic, PA, for a new season of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders baseball. Being the home of the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees gives Lackawanna County a chance to see future Major League All-Stars in action. Each game also offers delicious food and affordable fun for the entire family. With the season lasting until September, a trip to the ballpark is an excellent way to enjoy a warm summer day in NEPA.
Weekly Promotions
Every day of the week brings something special to the SWB RailRiders baseball schedule.
- TurnUp Tuesday | Get your lawn or bleacher seats for only $5 - available online or at the PNC Field Box Office! While at the park on Tuesdays, fans 21 and older can enjoy $2 16 oz. Coors Light cans for two hours after gates open.
- Waggin’ Wednesday & $2 Dog Night | Bring your four-legged canine friends to PNC Field for a fun night out (lawn and bleacher seating only; excludes school day games). Also, get $2 Sahlen's Hot Dogs all night long during Wednesday home games.
- Thirsty Thursday | Everyone's favorite game of the week features a $2 16 oz. Michelob Ultra aluminum bottle special, and $2 16 oz. Pepsi products are available for two hours after the gates open.
- First Responder Fridays | Thanks to Kost Tire & Auto, the RailRiders continue to honor brave first responders on Friday evenings in 2025. As a small token of thanks, 100 tickets will be given away to first responders each Friday, courtesy of Kost. Tickets are given away on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to four per week per first responder. First responders can register for complimentary tickets by completing the form under the Community tab at www.swbrailriders.com.
- Friday Night Fireworks | Friday Night Fireworks begin on Friday, May 30th, and continue after every Friday home game during the remainder of the 2025 season.
- Sensational Saturday | Starting on Saturday, May 31st, Saturday RailRiders games will once again feature a great giveaway, appearance, or theme. Giveaways, themes, appearances, and additional details will be announced soon.
- Sunday Family FunDay | Bring the whole family out for a great day at PNC Field, presented by Geisinger! Enjoy the RailRider's usual brand of family-friendly entertainment taken to the next level for all ages to enjoy. Kids can play catch on the field from noon until 12:20 PM and run the bases after the final out!
More Special Promotions
In addition to all the weekly excitement, some games feature extra special guests, activities, or community promotions. Get into the spirit of Copa de la Diversión as the team takes the field as the “Vejigantes” on May 8, June 24, July 31, and August 30. Show your support for our service members during Military Appreciation Night on May 31, featuring military-style jerseys and a camo hat giveaway for the first 1,500 fans. On June 14, actor Christopher McDonald—best known as Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore—will make a guest appearance, with a themed bobblehead giveaway for early arrivals.
June 28 brings Baby Bombers Night and a sharp new giveaway: a button-down shirt for the first 1,500 fans. Then it’s time to rewind with 90s Night on August 2, complete with retro fun and a dance party after the game. Wrap up the summer magic on August 16 with Harry Potter Night, where the first 1,500 fans receive themed socks and the team suits up in wizard-inspired jerseys. Want the full rundown? Take a Trolley to the Game
If you want to ride the rails yourself, you can take a historic trolley from downtown Scranton to PNC Field on select Sundays throughout the season. The round-trip cost for the trolley and the game is $25, or $15 if you’ve already purchased your RailRiders ticket. Be sure to reserve your seat ahead of time with the Electric City Trolley Station & Museum, which will be your starting point.
