Every April, excitement builds as fans return to PNC Field in Moosic, PA, for a new season of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders baseball. Being the home of the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees gives Lackawanna County a chance to see future Major League All-Stars in action. Each game also offers delicious food and affordable fun for the entire family. With the season lasting until September, a trip to the ballpark is an excellent way to enjoy a warm summer day in NEPA.
Weekly Promotions
All season long at PNC Field, daily promotions turn every home game into a full experience—complete with themed nights, food specials, giveaways, fireworks, and family-friendly traditions.
Tuesdays kick things off with budget-friendly ballpark favorites, featuring $2 hot dogs and drink specials for fans 21 and older during the first two hours after gates open. Wednesdays bring added excitement with prize giveaways and a bonus for fans when the RailRiders win—an outfield box seat voucher for a future 2026 home game. Starting May 28, Thursdays offer giveaways for the first 1,000 fans along with Thirsty Thursday deals, including discounted drinks available throughout the game for two hours after the gates open.
Fridays bring high energy to the ballpark, with special ticket offers for first responders and a post-game fireworks show lighting up the sky after every Friday home game beginning May 15. Saturdays continue the fun with rotating promotions, themed appearances, and giveaways, followed by Saturday Night Skyblasts starting May 30. Sundays wrap up each homestand with a family-focused experience, including early gate entry, a chance for kids to play catch in the outfield before the game, and a shareable meal deal designed for groups.
New for 2026, young fans can run the bases themselves after every home game, giving them the chance to create lasting memories at the ballpark. Fans can also bring their dogs along on select Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays throughout the season, with the RailRiders welcoming four-legged companions in designated seating areas.
More Special Promotions
The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are packing the 2026 season at PNC Field with can’t-miss themed nights and special events that go far beyond the game itself. Fans can step into a galaxy far, far away on May 16 for Star Wars Night, featuring Grogu-themed jerseys, a giveaway for early arrivals, and an intergalactic drone show after the final out. The excitement continues May 22–23 when the Banana Ball Championship League brings its fast-paced, fan-first style to Moosic. Later in the month, Military Appreciation Night on May 30 honors service members with a patriotic giveaway, themed jerseys, and Scout Night festivities.
Summer keeps the momentum going with Copa de la Diversión games, where the team takes on its “Vejigantes” identity, along with fan-favorite theme nights like Princess & Villains Night on July 17. Independence Day weekend delivers one of the biggest celebrations of the year, with giveaways, custom jerseys supporting local causes, and multiple nights of fireworks from July 2–4. Food and fun collide when competitive eating legend Joey Chestnut makes a special appearance, bringing his record-breaking reputation to the ballpark for a one-of-a-kind night capped with fireworks. The fun continues on August 22 with 90s Night, featuring a Red Barons jersey giveaway, live entertainment, and a post-game dance party on the plaza.

Take a Trolley to the Game
If you want to ride the rails yourself, you can take a historic trolley from downtown Scranton to PNC Field on select Sundays throughout the season. The round-trip cost for the trolley and the game is $30, or $15 if you’ve already purchased your RailRiders ticket. Be sure to reserve your seat ahead of time with the Electric City Trolley Station & Museum, which will be your starting point.
