The Greenhouse Project is proud to help sponsor and participate in Scranton’s annual flower show hosted by Nay Aug Park Recreation Municipal Authority. The public is welcome to come to enjoy gardens throughout Nay Aug Park, watch competitions for blooms and floral designs (including children’s categories), listen to live music, and do many other free activities. There will also be specialized growers and vendors alongside local gardening and environmental societies, charities, and organizations.

During the hours of the show (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM) there will be custodians and volunteers welcoming you in the following gardens:

  • Monica Project Memorial Pollinator Garden
    • (Located at the rear of the James Barrett McNulty Greenhouse, home of the Greenhouse Project)
  • The R. N. Davis Memorial Rose Garden
    • (500 Arthur Avenue)
  • The Butterfly Garden
    • (Located next to St. Cats and Dogs of Nay Aug Park)
  • The Chestnut Grove - hosted by the NY Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation
    • (Located near the Everhart Museum, 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

There'll be activities for everyone including over 50 local gardening, craft, and artisan vendors, live acoustic music in the Melody Garden, adoption opportunities from St. Cats & Dogs of Nay Aug Park (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM), free admission to the Everhart Museum, Underground Miners at the 120-year-old Historic Brooks Drift Mine (the mine will NOT be open for tours), half-hour presentations held by vendors and guest speakers in the Gentile near the Everhart Museum (from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM), kid's sticker hunt and activities, bonsai display, food, drone flying displays, and much more.

Check out the Electric City Flower Show website for all the events. Come along and enjoy a fun FREE day in Scranton's premier park! Pre-registration is not required but seating will be limited.
