Houdini Museum & Magic Show

Touted as the only building devoted to Harry Houdini in the World, the Houdini Museum located in Scranton, PA, is a rare treat for the young and old alike! Year-round entertainment features a movie, and a guided tour of the 150-year-old historic building, topped off by an hour-long, fun-filled stage magic show with professional magicians and live animals. Plus, enjoy rare film footage of Harry Houdini not seen anywhere else. It is high-quality entertainment at its best!

Aside from year-round entertainment, the Houdini Museum also hosts paranormal events throughout the fall season. Find out if you're a skeptic or a believer and participate in the museum's Haunted Séance, the paranormal psychic and séance event. IF YOU DARE!

MAGIC SHOWS

Enjoy a magic show with noted professional magicians, Dorothy Dietrich and Dick Brooks. Be amazed as they float an audience member in the air! The show also includes live animals such as doves, a rabbit, a duck, and two poodles.

THE MAGICIANS

Dorothy Deitrich, mostly known as the first and only woman to have performed the bullet catch in her mouth, was the first woman to gain prominence as an escape artist since the days of Houdini. She was also the first woman to perform a straitjacket escape while suspended hundreds of feet in the air from a burning rope. Dick Brooks, magician, entertainer, author, and paranormalist, began his career at the age of ten. He's appeared on several television shows such as Good Morning America, Travel Channel, and Home Box Office.
