Nature Lover

Lackawanna County is host to a vibrant city surrounded by mountains and lush forests. In a short drive our visitors can experience hiking, biking, fishing, farmers’ markets, along with ATV excursions and boat activities. Within the heart of the city is Nay Aug Park and its stunning waterfall.

Take a short, scenic ride to the countryside to visit Roba’s Family Farm with fresh produce, farm animals, and endless seasonal activities.

Set in the sweeping fields of the country is Maiolatesi Wine Cellars. Indulge your senses with a wine tasting, brick oven pizza, and fresh mountain air.

If you can’t get enough of the country, rent a tent or yurt at Lackawanna State Park or take your RV to Highland Campgrounds. There is nothing more peaceful than a campfire at night with the glow of the stars above your head and the promise of adventure in the morning. Kayaks and canoes are welcome on the river waterways for a day of site seeing.

Want to stay in the city? The Southside Farmer’s Market is open all year and the farmers bring their goodies to you. Find homemade pies and pastries, jams, sandwiches, seasonal produce, and sweet treats. Next stop is Nay Aug Park and the Greenhouse Project.
