Looking for a little fright to spice up the Halloween season? Catch a horror movie at America’s only Haunted Drive-In Theatre. Take a self-guided tour on our Lackawanna County Haunted Trail—some of our old Scranton mansions and other locations have been known to be the center of local ghost stories and paranormal activity.

 

October is wine month, so sip your way through the county on our Lackawanna County Wine Trail. Cabaret the day away at the Fall Wine Festival at Montage Mountain Resorts, held annually each October. Plan a trip with family or friends and book your stay now! Friday

Are you afraid of the dark? Take the Scranton After Dark Haunted Walking Tour and learn Downtown Scranton's haunted history from the Lackawanna Historical Society or venture out on your own on our Lackawanna County Haunted Trail. Then head to Noir Dark Spirits for some spooky and delicious cocktails.

Saturday

Peep our leaves and enjoy our area's beautiful collage of color. Hit the hottest spots by car or on foot for the best views Lackawanna County has to offer on our Fall Foliage Trail. Make your way to Steamtown National Historic Site to take an enchanting fall foliage train ride and soak in more stunning views.

Sunday

A day of harvest. Our area's premier pumpkin patch with so much more. Roba Family Farms is the perfect spot for all things autumn! Sip on apple cider and devour delicious cider donuts as you explore the corn maze, feed the animals, and enjoy all the other fun activities. Next, head to Lakeland Orchard & Cidery for their Apple Harvest Festival and see which of their more than 25 apple varieties are ripe and ready to enjoy. Then hop aboard their Lakeland Express and take a 1-mile train ride through the largest Halloween light display in Pennsylvania.
