Lackawanna County has entered the Green Phase of PA's reopening plan. We recommend that you call ahead to your destination before traveling to ensure nothing has changed. Mask-wearing is required in Pennsylvania.
Marywood University Theatre's Fall production, The Sonnet Project is a piece of innovative theatre developed for our COVID-19 times. Using our bodies and voices, music, and the beauty of the outdoors, our ensemble of Marywood students will present, illuminate, and help you to experience a group of Shakespeare's sonnets, including both some of his most well known and beloved, and some less known and surprising choices.
Performances will take place on Friday, October 2nd, at 5:30pm, Saturday, October 3rd, at 2:00pm and 5:30pm, and Sunday, October 4th, at 2:00pm.
The performances will take place outdoors, directly behind Marian Chapel at the Swartz Center for Spiritual Life. Performers will be physically distanced from one another, as well as from the audience, at all times, but will not wear masks while performing.
Audience members should bring their own chair or blanket to sit on the grass, wear a mask, and should plan on sitting in a physically distanced fashion.
Admission is free and there are no tickets for this performance; audiences will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis.
