The 12th Annual Festival of Railroading, History, and Industry takes place at Steamtown National Historic Site this Labor Day Weekend.
Steam Power, Diesel, and Electric forms of rail power will be part of the action. Various scales of model trains, some even utilizing steam to operate, will also help to translate the railroad and its impact on the culture.
For two days, Steamtown NHS and the Electric City Trolley Museum operate on the rails, going short distances and longer stretches of the rail line. Partner organizations bring their equipment for display along with the exhibits and tours of the Steamtown facilities.
A train excursion will take place on Sunday, September 2 at 12:30 PM - 3 PM.
More information will be posted when it comes about.
