Each year, the Saint Ubaldo Society welcomes thousands of visitors to Jessup, PA to celebrate one of the world's oldest and most beloved traditions - la Festa dei Ceri.
Brought to the Jessup community in 1909, the Festa celebrates and honors the life and legacy of Sant' Ubaldo, patron saint of Gubbio, Italy. Although the Ceri (statues) in Jessup are much smaller than those carried in Gubbio, the same passion, desire, and love for Sant' Ubaldo live within the hearts of those who carry the cero.
Don't forget, la Festa dei Ceri is not a race! It's a procession. Sant' Ubaldo always "wins". It is his day, after all!
