Join Lackawanna County for a day of community, collaboration, and celebration on April 20th, at McDade Park; Pavilion #2, as Lackawanna County’s Office of Environmental Sustainability and Department of Arts and Culture, partnered with the Valley Community Library, and the Northeastern PA Sierra Club, bring you a day full of fun!

Start off the day by making a positive impact on the environment with the Community Clean-Up from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM! Join the Lackawanna County Environmental Office, the Valley Community Library, and the Northeastern PA Sierra Club in a community clean-up. Fawn Contreras from the Valley Community Library will lead the clean-up and do a litter study with participants. Don’t forget to bring your gloves and trash picker-uppers if you have them. No worries if you don’t. Gloves, bags, and vests are provided thanks to Keep NEPA Beautiful. Registration is required.

After the clean-up, the Earth Day event will start at 11:00 AM and end at 3:00 PM, where you can connect with local organizations and businesses dedicated to protecting the environment. Enjoy arts and crafts with talented local artists.

Come together, make a positive impact, and celebrate the beauty of our planet at the Lackawanna County Earth Day Event! Mark your calendars, bring your friends and family, and be a part of this exciting day for the community and the environment!
