Forest Hill Cemetery's caretaker, Norma Reese, will deliver a fascinating presentation on the history of the first Forest Hill Black burials from 1880 to the present. Topics of discussion will be freeborn to enslaved people buried at the cemetery, family ties, a rainbow of last names, military from the Civil War, and Scranton's first Black teacher.
The presentation will take place in the Henkelman Room at the Albright Memorial Library, 2nd Floor. Elevator access is available.
