Travel back in time to the 1880s and the quaint country village of Cresco, PA. Several resorts and hotels located throughout the region gave new couples a chance to relax before beginning their new life together. The historic Cresco station, preserved by the Barrett Township Historical Society, is a full-sized museum of the region's history and connection to the railroad.
Light refreshments are for sale at the depot, and weather permitting, there is a display of preserved automobiles from the days of the horseless carriage to the (gasp) 1980s! Musical performers add to the atmosphere in the fall foliage.
Train boards 30 minutes before departure at the boarding platform near the Marketplace at Steamtown bridge.
