BikeLackawanna will kick off its Sixth season of free bike rentals by sharing bicycles on Courthouse Square at First Friday Scranton in downtown Scranton this week. The BikeLackawanna kickoff will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
BikeLackawanna is a free bike share program hosted by Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area (LHV). The goal of the program is to encourage people to adopt cycling as a form of regular exercise, and to explore the City of Scranton, and the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail (LRHT) in a whole new way.
The program is open to anyone age 16 or older with a valid Driver's License or state photo ID. Cyclists under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult. It's easy to participate. Simply present your photo ID to a program administrator at any BikeScranton location and enjoy your ride!
