Founded in 1915, Marywood University is co-educational and comprehensive with over 3,000 students on a 115 acre campus situated on the outskirts of Scranton in a beautiful suburban location.
The University offers provides ample space for groups up to 2,000 people and offers 18+ dynamic meeting spaces equipped with the latest technology and AV capabilities. Catering services are also available for larger groups.
Marywood University sponsors 22 varsity sports with award -winning coaches. The Center offers state-of-the-art fitness, recreation, and athletic opportunities and includes a premier fitness center, climbing wall, elevated running track, dance/aerobic studio, the 1,500 season Insalaco Arena to showcase Pacers sports, and high-tech athletic training areas. Outdoor athletic facilities include six tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and basketball courts A new Aquatics Center, inclusive of eight lanes, one and three meter diving boards, spectator seating and team rooms, opened in May 2011. This center caps off a five-year, $25 million dollar campaign to improve Marywood's athletic facilities.
