Elk Mountain Ski Resort is a 'hidden gem' in the Endless Mountains on the summit of North Knob near Union Dale, PA. It is located just 30 miles north of Scranton. The mountain receives an average of five feet of natural snow per season, but snowmaking covers 100-percent (180 acres) of the terrain.
Elk Mountain boasts approx 1,000 feet of vertical excitement, and their 7 lifts (5 doubles, 1 quad, and 1 cable tow in the terrain park) give access to 27 slopes that include 2 terrain parks and 11 black diamond trails for skiers and snowboarders--offering some of the most challenging skiing in the region.
Warm up or recharge at the day lodge, restaurant, and snack bar! Learn to ski at Elk's ski school. Stop into their ski and snowboard shop for some gear, which also offers equipment rentals.
